How far is the river from where we collect the watercraft?
The Murray River is about 10 minutes drive from our town location. For bookings from town, watercraft can be carried on a car roof, towed on one of our trailers, or we may be able to deliver. Watercraft can also be hired at our kiosk location in Lane Poole Reserve, right on the water. Note we do not take bookings for kiosk hires. This is a first-come, first-served basis. Rates and hire times vary at the kiosk.

What happens if I return equipment early or late?
Generally, we do not offer refunds if you decide to return equipment prior to your booked time. We do allow a 30 minute late window for watercraft and 15 minutes for bikes. Anytime later than that we reserve the right to charge you late fees.

What is your cancellation policy?
- Cancellations can be made up to 48 hours prior to the hire/tour time commencing, at no cost.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of hire/tour time are non-refundable (if due to COVID-19 see full terms and conditions).
- Date and name changes can be made at no cost, at least 24 hours prior to booked collection/tour time.
- Hires and Tours will have deemed to be completed if customers do not show up within 1 hour of booked collection/tour time.
- The Operator reserves the right to cancel tours and hires due to unsuitable river conditions, bushfire risk and other circumstances that the Operator feels pose unsafe conditions to the Hirer. If the Operator is prevented from, or delayed in performing any of its obligations to the Customer from having to cancel a tour or hire, no loss or damage shall be claimed by the Customer from the Operator.

Do we need to book in advance?
Advanced bookings are not mandatory for hires but we do recommend it to ensure equipment will be held for you and you will not be subject to availability on the day. Bookings are required for tours, charters and accommodation. If you are having trouble booking online please give us a call – we are pretty flexible and will try to accommodate where possible.

Can we have equipment delivered?
Yes, we do offer a delivery service. Our advertised fee includes pick up. Please note you must attend our premises in Dwellingup town to complete paperwork, before we can deliver equipment.

Can I carry canoes/rafts/kayaks on my car without a roof rack?
Generally, most vehicles without a roof rack can carry 1 canoe/raft/kayak. We have thick, foam pads that sit on your roof and supply tie downs that wrap through your door frame. Carrying or towing our hire equipment is at the hirers risk.

What happens if I lose or damage equipment?
If you lose equipment there will be a replacement cost. Generally, if damage occurs under your care you will be charged for the damage.

Do you supply life jackets and/or bike helmets?
Yes, personal floatation devices (pfds) and paddles are supplied with each craft and helmets are supplied with each bike according to the number of persons the equipment is licensed to carry. We have a range of pfd sizes from infant to extra large adults.

Are dogs permitted in the watercraft?
Yes, but canoes only. The rafts and SUP boards are inflatable and not suitable to carry dogs. Note; we do not supply specific animal pfds.

What are the conditions of hire for bikes?
- The Hirer is responsible for all loss or damage to the bike and any other equipment provided hereunder which may be made during the period of hire. Dwellingup Adventures insurance will not cover damage or loss when on hire. Examples of damage not considered normal wear and tear, bent handlebars, broken levers, frame damage, buckled rims, broken spokes, broken derailleurs, broken saddles.
- Flat tyres are considered normal wear and tear and incur no cost. The Hirer must ensure the bike is not continued to be ridden as rim and tyre damage will occur, rim and tyre damaged will not be considered normal wear and tear. Hirers may hire a tool kit and self-repair, return the bike to point of hire for repair. We may also be able to provide track side assistance for flat tyres.
- The Operator requires that all children have the consent of parent/guardian to use the equipment.
- Hirers are bound by State Laws in regard to consuming alcohol and being in control of a vehicle.
- The bikes are not equipped with lights and are only to be used during daylight hours.
- Bike helmets are supplied with the hire. The wearing of helmets is compulsory under West Australian Law.
- The bike is designed to carry one person only. The Hirer shall not permit more than one person to ride the bike at once.
- Bikes must be transported using a suitable bike carrying device. Dwellingup Adventures reserves the right to determine a suitable bike carrying device.
- The Hirer agrees to pay any late fees owing.
- Refunds are not provided because the Hirer has terminated the hire period early.
- The Customer agrees to sign a waiver (available on our website) before a hire can commence.
- I consent to photos and videos taken during activities being used by Dwellingup Adventures for promotional purposes. I will inform staff if I do not wish to be included.
- By making a booking the customer agrees to receive updates, marketing, and exclusive offers via email.

What are the conditions of hire for watercraft?
- The Hirer is responsible for all loss or damage to the watercraft/equipment provided hereunder which may be made during the period of hire.
- The Operator requires that all children have the consent of parent/guardian to use the equipment.
- No alcohol is permitted to be carried or consumed in the watercraft.
- The watercraft are only to be used between the hours of sunrise and sunset, only on inland protected waters excluding Lake Argyle, The Ord River spillway and any white-water area. Under no circumstances are they to be used in ocean waters or more than 400 meters from any foreshore.
- PFDs (Personal Flotation Devices) have been provided for each person.
- The watercraft is licensed to carry one/two/three persons. The hirer shall not permit more than one/two/three persons to be on board.
- Misty Forest Pty Ltd trading as Dwellingup Adventures and Waypoints Café, Tours and Retail accepts no responsibility for loss of personal equipment during the hire period.
- Carrying watercraft is entirely at the risk of the vehicle driver. Misty Forest Pty Ltd trading as Dwellingup Adventures and Waypoints Café, Tours and Retail accepts no responsibility for damage to vehicles or other hirers property.
- The Hirer agrees to pay any late fees owing.
- Refunds are not provided because the Hirer has terminated the hire period early.
