At Dwellingup Adventures, we’re dedicated to supporting your school or group’s outdoor learning and recreational goals. Our offerings are designed for flexibility and ease of planning:
- Tailored Solutions: We understand every group is unique. Dwellingup Adventures reserves the right to quote all hires and services based precisely on your group’s specific needs and requirements. All quotes provided will include GST.
- Instructor Support: Qualified instructors are available specifically for our mountain bike activities, providing expert guidance and safety instruction.
- No Water-Based Instruction: Please note, we do not offer instructors for water-based activities. These are available for self-guided hire, with all necessary safety equipment provided.
- Equipment Hire for Schools/Youth Groups: Special group-specific hire costs apply to schools and youth groups, ensuring great value.
- Delivery & Collection: Fees apply for the delivery of canoes, rafts, or bikes to your site. Alternatively, you can collect equipment from our yard and return it yourself, giving you flexibility.
- Lane Poole Reserve Day Entry Fees: Please be aware that if your activities take place within Lane Poole Reserve, day entry fees are applicable. School groups undertaking curriculum-related activities and eligible community-based groups can apply for waivers. Our diverse range of hire options includes:
- Canoe Hire: Explore the many kilometres of navigable water on the Murray River. Available as 1-person kayaks ($55.00/day), 2-person canoes ($60.00/day), and 3-person canoes ($65.00/day). All complete with paddles and PFDs. Water sport helmets are available for an additional $5.00 each if required. Trailer hire applies for hires of less than 3 canoes. School/youth groups only.
- Fast Water Raft Hire (2-Person Incept Self Bailing Rafts): For periods of increased river flow (seasonal), these rafts are ideal for an introduction to white water rafting (Grade 1 and 2 rapids) or expedition-style programmes. Rafts are $65.00 per day (school/youth group only) and include 2 paddles and 2 PFDs. Dual axle raft trailer hire is $50.00 per day. Thermal sets (wetsuit, thermal top, booties, spray top) are available for hire at $35.00 per day.
- Flat Water Raft Hire (2-Person Fun Rafts): Perfect for engaging water games in warmer weather, even at lower river levels. Rafts are $55.00 per day (school/youth group only) and include 2 paddles and 2 PFDs. Water sport helmets $5.00 each if required. Single axle raft trailer hire $20.00 per day.
- Flat Water Raft Hire (Big 8-Person Rafts): Stable platforms for younger students or those new to water activities. Each raft takes up to 12 junior school students. Rafts are $180.00 per day (school/youth group only). We have a maximum of 2 available. Each comes with 8 paddles and 8 PFDs (extra PFDs available at $5.00 each). Water sport helmets $5.00 each if required. Dual axle raft trailer hire $50.00 per day.
- Mountain Bike Hire: Access parts of the famous Munda Biddi Trail or the Dwellingup Town Trails directly from our yard or have them delivered to your campsite in Lane Poole Reserve. Bike hire is $55.00 per day (school/youth group only) and includes helmets and water bottle cages. Dual axle MTB trailer hire is $50.00 per day with bike hire (carries up to 25 MTBs), or $150.00 without bike hire. Note; Bikes are only to be ridden on Green trails and the Munda Biddi.
- Mountain Bike Instructors: Enhance your group’s biking experience with expert guidance. Instructors are available for $500.00 for a half-day (3 hours) or $800.00 for a full day. Hi-Viz vests, tool kits, and 2-way radios are also available for hire.
School & Group DIY Activities
Looking for engaging, self-managed activities to complement your camp or group program? Our DIY (Do It Yourself) activity sets provide all the materials and activity explanations you need for a fantastic group experience. Each DIY activity set is $180.00 per day (no part-day hire). Please note, some activities may not be available depending on your camping location, and additional delivery fees may apply.
Our exciting DIY options include:
- Orienteering/Quest ‘Guide Me Home’ (Lower School Only): A fun 1 or 2-hour activity where participants follow a trail using a map and compass to locate and stamp lost animals in their correct habitats. Includes maps, compasses, stamps, clues, and landscape cards. Suitable for lower school students. Available for Nanga Bush Camp site only, with a setup cost of $70.00.
- Raft Build (Allow 1.5 hours): Challenge students to construct a raft using barrels, poles, ropes, and paddles, then ‘rescue’ a stranded mariner! Each set includes 12 buoyancy vests (extra available at $5.00 each). We have 2 raft sets available, each suitable for up to 12 persons. Delivery fees apply.
- Rogaining (Upper School Only): A stimulating navigation challenge where students use a map and compass to locate various stations and punch a score card. Variations include scoring points for different stations and setting time limits. Includes facilitator instructions, compasses, maps, flags, and punches. 2-way radios available for hire at $10.00 each per day. Setup cost of $70.00 for courses around Nanga Bush Camp, Camp Kelly, and Baden Powell areas. Set-up fee $100.00 for the Nanga Mill course.
- Pipeometer: Students assemble a pipe structure, then fill it with water to release a ping-pong ball, navigating holes that need to be covered. Activity set includes facilitator notes, plans, pipes, buckets, and measuring tapes. 2 sets available, recommended for max 15 persons per set. Delivery fees apply or collect materials from our yard.
- Evening Activity Giant Games: A series of rotating team-based skill activities with a giant theme. Teams earn points as they move around the game circuit. Activity set includes facilitator notes and four giant games. Delivery fees apply or collect materials from our yard.
